Core Pillars of People-Centric Care

Putting You at the Heart of Health

PROMISE is a non profit people centric think – tank aiming to address various challenges facing healthcare professionals including their mental wellness, education and dignity to realise the vision of a healthy India

At Promise, we believe that true wellness starts by listening. Our People-Centric Health Care Initiative is born from a simple but powerful realization: medicine is most effective when it treats the person, not just the symptom.

We are redefining the healthcare experience by moving away from clinical jargon and rigid systems toward a model built on partnership, transparency and empathy.

Core Pillars of People-Centric Care

Shared Decision-Making

Rather than a top-down approach where doctors dictate treatment, this initiative empowers patients as partners.

Plain Language: Providing medical information without jargon so patients truly understand their options.

Goal Alignment: Ensuring treatment plans match the patient’s lifestyle and personal values (e.g., prioritizing mobility over a longer, more invasive recovery).

Digital Accessibility & Transparency

Technology should bridge the gap between providers and the community, not create a barrier.

Unified Health Records: Giving patients full, real-time access to their own data via secure portals.

Telehealth Integration: Reducing the "distance barrier" for rural or elderly populations through remote monitoring and virtual consultations.

Holistic Support Systems

Health is rarely just about biology; it’s about environment and support.

Mental Health Integration: Treating mental and physical health as a single, intertwined path.

Social Determinants: Addressing external factors like housing, nutrition, and transportation that affect a patient's ability to stay healthy.

Key Strategic Pillars

Empowerment through Transparency: Providing patients with full, jargon-free access to their medical data and costs.
Holistic Wellness: Integrating mental health, nutrition, and social support rather than just treating physical symptoms.
Seamless Accessibility: Utilizing telehealth and mobile clinics to bring care to the person, reducing the barriers of time and distance.
